Biblia Chora Etos Merlot 2006

Biblia Chora Etos Merlot 2006

The Biblia Chora Etos Merlot is arguably the queen of wines. Grapes of the Etos Merlot grow at one of the best vines from Biblia Chora, in a tank of limestone and clay. With the Etos Merlot, quality gets priority above quantity. And even when those aspects are in line with the preferences of the vineyard, the wine is only produced in years where exceptional quality is portrayed. As was the case in the year 2006. During years of maturing, the wine is only evolving into something more complex. Discover the aroma’s of red fruit, plums, switched harmonically with cedar, spice, vanilla, bitter chocolate and nutmeg. The robust tannins, structure and fruity long aftertaste make the wine unforgettable. Tip: leave decanted before tasting the Etos Merlot.

About the winemakers

For many centuries the Pangeon area, located just 40 kilometres from the historic Kavala, has been known for its wonderful soil from which the finest grapes are born. After merchants made their way into the region, the special grape known as ‘Biblia’ was produced. To honour this region Vangelis Gerovassiliou en Vassilis Tsaktsarlis chose to take the name ‘Biblia’ and intertwine it with their winehouse: Biblia Chora. This worked out great, because of the mediterranean climate Biblia Chora produces aromatic, tasteful and intense wines. With lots of variations. Not only do the wines taste fantastic, the estate is also worth visiting!
