Gerovassiliou Malagousia 500ml

In the dry Greek late summers, the malagousia grapes linger extra long on the Gerovassiliou estate. Everything for an optimal ripening of this favorite grape. After picking, the Gerovassiliou malagousia develop in oak barrels for 3 years. To then come out as a straw-colored Greek dessert wine. The wine is praised for its vibrant flavours. Apricot, pear and mango predominate, but a little acidity is present for the balance. Serve with a piece of galaktoboureko for a thoroughly Greek finish to any meal.

About the winemakers

Only 25 kilometres away from Thessaloniki is the Ktima Gerovassiliou vineyard. A true family vineyard. In 1981 Vangelis Gerovassiliou decided to revive the family vineyard with the support of his wife Sonia Tziola-Gerovassiliou. The motivation for this renovation? Love, passion, knowledge and experience for these fine wines. Their love and passion for wines has influenced even the children of Vangelis and Sonia, the second generation. After finishing their education, they came to work for the family company. With their new knowledge and fresh ideas they now produce together with Vangelis and Sonia wines of the highest quality with characteristics of the beautiful region. It did not stop there for Vangelis. In 1998 he developed together with Vassilis Tsaktsarlis the winehouse Biblia Chora.
